Balance is everything in this profession and it's the true key to being a successful Social Worker.

Social Workers work from three different levels. They are called the micro, mezzo, and macro levels. Each level is Social Work on a larger scale with the micro level being one on one work and the macro level dealing with organizations. There are times in the profession where Social Workers will only focus on one area of the three levels but often they will find themselves working in all three.

Social Workers need at least a Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related fields. Most states also require you to obtain a license.

The industry has a good job outlook in the upcoming years. They are expected to increase through 2018. The only downfall with the economy is that Social Service jobs are typically some of the first to be cut but that doesn't mean you can't create a successful profession that you really desire.
